The structural design and research activities have found a common ground for development in recent years in ECSD. Professor Mola, together with the staff of ECSD, investigated the theoretical and scientific issues  brought about by the projects we’ve been involved in, such as the ones related to the design of tall buildings, the verification of the seismic vulnerability and the design of seismic retrofit of building structures and infrastructures and the operations of dynamic testing and monitoring. Many papers were drafted, presented and published in conference proceedings and peer reviewed journals over the years.

The participation in national and international conferences, the organization of workshops, thematic seminars, training courses for professionals (in collaboration with Professional Associations), the publication of papers in scientific and educational journals are one of the leading-edge activities of ECSD, since we always approach our design activity with a rigorous scientific attitude.
